Setting
The story unfolds in the lush and picturesque countryside of England, during a time reminiscent of the Elizabethan era. The central location is an expansive estate, characterized by its grand manor house, beautiful gardens, and surrounding woodlands.
The Manor House: A large, elegant home with tall windows and ivy-covered walls. The interior is filled with ornate furniture, rich tapestries, and flickering candlelight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The great hall often hosts gatherings and celebrations, while the library and music room offer quiet retreats for reading and composing.

The Chapel: A small, quaint chapel on the estate grounds where significant ceremonies and gatherings take place. Its stained-glass windows and peaceful interior make it a place of solace and reverence.
The Village: A short distance from the estate lies a quaint village with cobblestone streets, thatched-roof cottages, and friendly villagers. The village market, bustling with activity, offers fresh produce, handmade goods, and a sense of community.

Act 1, Scene 1
Enter GABY, with a lute, beneath a window.
GABY: Oh, gentle night, cloak my humble tune, As I serenade the lady of the moon. Alaina, fair Alaina, with eyes like stars, Your beauty's splendor my heart soars and scars. Though my song may be simple, my love is pure, For you, dear lady, my heart shall endure.
Enter SIR CHRISTIAN, tripping over his own feet.
SIR CHRISTIAN: Gaby, my friend, what folly is this? Dost thou think sweet Alaina will grant thee a kiss? Her heart is as cold as the winter’s frost, In wooing her, thy efforts are lost.
GABY: Ah, Sir Christian, ever the pessimist thou art, But love’s sweet melody doth play in my heart. Alaina’s disdain may cut deep like a knife, Yet I’ll serenade her for the rest of my life.
The window opens, and ALAINA appears, her brow furrowed in annoyance.
ALAINA: Who disturbs my peace at this late hour? Is it thee, Gaby, with thy trifling flower? Cease this serenade, thy song doth vex, Find another to woo, for I am perplexed.
GABY: Fair Alaina, mistress of horses and grace, Would thou lend thine ear to my heartfelt embrace? For though thou art harsh, thy spirit is free, And in thy presence, I long to be.
ALAINA: Enough! Thy words are but a fleeting breeze, Find another pastime, and leave me at ease. My heart belongs to no suitor’s call, I love my steeds, and that is all.
Alaina withdraws, closing the window with a firm hand.
SIR CHRISTIAN: Take heed, dear Gaby, her words are stern, Alaina’s love thou never shalt earn. But look yonder, a vision of grace, Suzanna approaches, with nature’s embrace.
Enter SUZANNA, carrying a bouquet of wildflowers.
SUZANNA: Good evening, Gaby, and to thee, Sir Christian, What brings thee here in this moonlit mission? The night is fair, the stars brightly shine, Yet thine expressions are far from benign.
GABY: Sweet Suzanna, so kind and dear, I serenade Alaina, though she doth not hear. Her heart is as wild as her beloved steeds, Yet my love for her, no other exceeds.
SUZANNA: Her heart may be wild, yet nature is tame, In its gentle embrace, thou findest no shame. Come, let us walk ‘neath the trees’ gentle sway, And find solace in nature at the end of the day.
Exeunt GABY, SIR CHRISTIAN, and SUZANNA, into the forest.
Act 1, Scene 2
Enter LORD ALAN, pacing thoughtfully in his study.
LORD ALAN: The future of my children weighs on my mind, Their happiness and matches I must find. Alaina, so spirited, with her steeds so fine, And Suzanna, in nature's embrace, doth shine. But what of Aiden, my valiant son? A good match for him must also be won.
Enter AIDEN, with AVARIE beside him. AVARIE, being quite short, is almost hidden behind AIDEN.
AIDEN: Father, I bring thee a guest most fair, Avarie, whose wit and charm are rare. She has been my confidante and dearest friend, A love I hope will never end.
LORD ALAN: Aiden, my son, thou speakest true, But where is this guest I cannot view?
LORD ALAN looks around confusedly. AVARIE steps forward, standing on tiptoe.
AVARIE: Good evening, Lord Alan, I stand here, Though my stature is small, my voice is clear.
LORD ALAN: (zany) Oh, dear Avarie, I did not see thee there! Thou art but a dainty rose beyond compare. Forgive my eyes, which seek the tall, Yet miss the treasures that stand so small.
AVARIE: No offense taken, my lord, I assure, For in my heart, my love is pure. Though I may be short, my love is grand, For Aiden, I hold in my hand.
LORD ALAN: Avarie, thy spirit doth greatly tower, More than the highest tree or flower. Aiden, thou hast chosen well indeed, A lady who doth fit thy noble steed.
AIDEN: Father, thy blessing I seek and desire, For Avarie sets my heart afire. Together, we shall build a life so bright, With thy approval, our future is light.
LORD ALAN: A blessing I give with all my heart, May thou and Avarie never part. But now, let us prepare for the night, For tomorrow’s dawn brings new delight.
Exeunt LORD ALAN, AIDEN, and AVARIE, arm in arm, as the night sky glimmers.
Act 1, Scene 3
Enter GABY, SIR CHRISTIAN, and SUZANNA, walking through the forest.
GABY: Ah, the night is calm, the stars do gleam, Yet my heart is troubled, torn in a dream. Alaina’s harsh words doth wound me deep, But here in the woods, my mind I keep.
SIR CHRISTIAN: Cheer up, dear friend, and cast off thy gloom, For love oft finds a way to bloom. Suzanna here, with her gentle smile, Doth guide us softly for a while.
SUZANNA: Gaby, fret not, for Alaina’s way, Is but a phase, a passing sway. Her words are sharp, her manner tough, But maybe one day, she’ll soften enough.
They come upon a clearing and sit by a small brook.
GABY: This place is fair, a haven of peace, Yet my heart still seeks sweet Alaina’s release. Suzanna, tell me true, what dost thou think Of my new song, which I pen with ink?
SIR CHRISTIAN: Ah, Suzanna, do prepare thy ears, For Gaby’s tunes bring laughter and tears.
GABY: Ahem, it goes thusly: (serenading) “Oh Alaina, fair Alaina, with a voice like a horse, Thy beauty doth steer me, with unmatched force. Thy words so kind, like a thorny vine, Yet for thy love, my heart doth pine.”
SUZANNA and SIR CHRISTIAN exchange glances, trying to suppress their reactions.
SUZANNA: Gaby, thy effort is heartfelt and grand, But perhaps a tweak here, lend it a hand. “Voice like a horse” may need some rephrase, For wooing a lady, it’s a curious praise.
SIR CHRISTIAN: Indeed, Gaby, thy song is unique, But Alaina’s heart it may not quite pique. Perhaps “voice like an angel” would better align, And save thy love from a tragic decline.
GABY: (earnestly) Oh, I see, a revision is due, I’ll take thy advice, and start anew. Suzanna, thy counsel I cherish so much, With thy help, my song will gain a gentle touch.
Enter AIDEN and AVARIE, stumbling upon the group by the brook.
AIDEN: What merry gathering do I see here, Friends and family, by the brook, so dear. Gaby, Sir Christian, and Suzanna too, What brings thee here, in the evening dew?
AVARIE: A lovely sight, to see thee all so near, What tales and joys hast thou to share here?
SUZANNA: Aiden, Avarie, join us, do, In this tranquil spot, 'neath skies so blue. We speak of songs and love's tender plight, In this serene and gentle night.
AIDEN: Gladly, we join, in fellowship sweet, Such moments together, are a rare treat. Come, let us hear more of Gaby's song, And see if his love can indeed prolong.
They sit together, laughing and talking, as the scene fades into the evening's celebration.
Act 1, Scene 4
Enter LORD ALAN, overseeing the preparations for the evening's celebration in the grand hall. Servants bustle about, arranging tables and decorations.
LORD ALAN: Hurry now, prepare the feast with care, Tonight, we celebrate, with joy to share. My children and their loves shall gather 'round, In this noble hall, where cheer is found.
Enter GABY, SIR CHRISTIAN, SUZANNA, AIDEN, and AVARIE, entering the hall together.
AIDEN: Father, the evening is set, the stars align, In this gathering, we shall all dine. Gaby has a new song, for us to hear, A serenade, most sincere.
LORD ALAN: Ah, Gaby, my boy, a song once more? Pray, let us hear it, and do not bore.
GABY: With pleasure, my lord, I shall perform, A song to weather any storm. (serenading) “Oh Alaina, fair Alaina, with eyes so bright, Thy beauty doth shine, in the moonlit night. Thy words so sweet, like honey and dew, For thy love, my heart doth pursue.”
There is an awkward silence as everyone tries to process the song.
LORD ALAN: (clearing his throat) Well, Gaby, thy song is… quite the delight, But perhaps a bit more polish, might make it right.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (whispering to GABY) Gaby, old friend, thou art brave and true, But perhaps some lessons in subtlety are due.
GABY: (smiling awkwardly) Ah, I see, more work to be done, For Alaina’s heart, I must not yet have won.
Enter ALAINA, dressed elegantly, with a proud and regal demeanor.
ALAINA: Father, I see the preparations are grand, This feast tonight, the finest in the land. And Gaby, I heard thy song from afar, Thy persistence, truly, is bizarre.
GABY: Alaina, fair Alaina, with beauty so rare, For thy love, I would climb mountains, and into the air.
ALAINA: (smiling wryly) Gaby, thy words are sweet, if somewhat naive, In wooing me, thou dost certainly believe. But my heart is with horses, swift and free, A rider’s life is what’s meant for me.
SUZANNA: Sister, perhaps give Gaby a chance, A moment’s kindness, a fleeting glance. For in his heart, he means no harm, His love is earnest, his song a charm.
AVARIE: Alaina, love can take many a form, Even for those who weather the storm. Give Gaby a smile, a nod of grace, And see what changes might take place.
ALAINA: (smiling softly) Very well, a moment I shall spare, For Gaby’s sake, I’ll show I care. But know this, dear Gaby, true, My heart’s with horses, not yet with you.
GABY: (grateful) Thank thee, Alaina, for this chance so rare, In my heart, thy kindness I shall wear.
LORD ALAN: Now, let the feast begin, with joy and cheer, Raise your glasses, for all to hear. To love, to laughter, and to this night, May our hearts be merry, and our spirits bright!
They all raise their glasses, toasting to the evening, as the hall fills with music.
Act 1, Scene 5
The celebratory feast is in full swing in the grand hall. Guests mingle, music plays softly in the background, and servants bring out trays of food and drink. GABY nervously approaches ALAINA, who stands by the windows admiring the view.
GABY: (awkwardly) Fair Alaina, might I have this dance? To share a moment, in this grand expanse?
ALAINA: (eyeing him skeptically) Gaby, thou art persistent, I must admit, But dancing with thee? I’m not sure it’s fit.
GABY: (earnestly) Oh, but Alaina, let us glide across the floor, In rhythm and grace, and nothing more. For in this dance, our hearts may find, A common beat, in tune and kind.
ALAINA: (sighing) Very well, Gaby, for the sake of this night, I shall indulge thee, in this dance so light.
They step onto the dance floor. GABY tries to lead, but ALAINA’s passion for horses seems to affect her dancing.
GABY: (gently guiding) Step light, dear Alaina, with gentle sway, In dance, let our worries melt away.
ALAINA: (awkwardly) My heart’s with horses, swift and free, Dancing’s not my forte, as you can see.
GABY: (smiling) Fear not, fair Alaina, let go of thy fears, In this moment, let’s enjoy, with laughter and cheers.
They continue dancing, awkwardly at first, but gradually finding a rhythm. SUZANNA watches fondly from the sidelines, while SIR CHRISTIAN and LORD ALAN exchange amused glances.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (to LORD ALAN) Ah, our dear Gaby, brave and bold, In love’s pursuit, a tale to unfold.
LORD ALAN: (chuckling) Indeed, Sir Christian, his heart’s on fire, With Alaina’s spirit, he does aspire.
SUZANNA: (to AIDEN and AVARIE) Look, dear brother, Avarie, do see, Gaby and Alaina, in dance so free.
AIDEN: (smiling) 'Tis a sight to behold, with joy and mirth, Perhaps love’s path, finds its worth.
AVARIE: (nodding) Love’s journey, in dance and song, May it guide them, where they belong.
The music ends, and GABY and ALAINA part ways, both slightly breathless from the dance.
GABY: (softly) Thank thee, Alaina, for this dance we shared, In my heart, this moment’s treasured and dared.
ALAINA: (smiling faintly) 'Twas a dance, Gaby, simple and true, Now if you’ll excuse me, I bid thee adieu.
ALAINA exits gracefully, leaving GABY standing by himself, contemplating the dance and its implications.
GABY: (whispering) Oh, Alaina, fair Alaina, with heart so wild, In dance, perhaps our destinies smiled.
The scene fades as the celebration continues, with guests laughing and chatting.
Act 1, Scene 6
The celebratory feast continues in the grand hall. GABY stands near the edge of the dance floor, observing the lively atmosphere. AIDEN approaches with AVARIE, who seems hesitant to join the dancing.
AIDEN: (smiling) Come, Avarie, let’s dance with glee, For in this moment, 'tis just you and me.
AVARIE: (uncertain) Aiden, my dear, the height I lack, Dancing feels like a daunting track.
AIDEN: (chuckling) Fear not, my love, 'tis all in jest, In my arms, you’re the very best.
Reluctantly, AVARIE allows herself to be led onto the dance floor. They begin dancing, but AVARIE's discomfort is evident.
GABY: (to SUZANNA, teasingly) Look, Suzanna, Aiden dances with such cheer, But 'tis as if he’s dancing with a child, I fear.
SUZANNA: (chidingly, hitting GABY lightly) Hush, Gaby, mock not Avarie dear, For height nor stature should bring a sneer.
AIDEN: (overhearing, laughing) Gaby, my friend, ‘tis all in fun, Avarie’s grace shines brighter than the sun.
AVARIE: (smirking) Indeed, dear Gaby, though small I may be, My heart’s in dance, as you can see.
GABY nods sheepishly, realizing his jest might have been ill-timed. The music continues as they dance, but soon the guests start to leave one by one.
LORD ALAN: (to the guests) Friends and family, the hour grows late, With joy and laughter, we celebrate. But now, to rest, as morning draws near, Until the next gathering, let us cheer.
The guests bid farewell, departing from the grand hall. GABY watches as ALAINA and her siblings leave, The scene fades as the hall empties, leaving GABY deep in contemplation.
Act 1, Scene 7
The night has fallen, and the grand hall is now empty. GABY stands outside the stable doors, hesitating before entering. He takes a deep breath and pushes open the door. Inside, he finds ALAINA brushing down her favorite horse.
GABY: (softly) Alaina, fair Alaina, here I find thee, In the quiet of night, ‘neath skies so free.
ALAINA: (turning, surprised) Gaby, what brings thee to this place? Has the evening not brought enough grace?
GABY: (resolute) Alaina, my heart doth ache and yearn, For thy love, I truly discern. Tell me, fair lady, what can I do, To win thy heart, so steadfast and true?
ALAINA: (sighing) Gaby, dear Gaby, listen to me clear, In my heart, thou canst never appear. My love is for horses, my passion strong, In their company, my heart does belong.
GABY: (pleading) But Alaina, my love burns bright, For thee, I’d conquer any plight. With every song and dance I try, In thy heart, may I reside, not shy?
ALAINA: (firmly) Gaby, thou art kind and brave, But my answer, I must engrave. Cease thy pursuit, let this be the end, As more than a friend, thou canst not ascend.
GABY: (heartbroken) Alaina, fair Alaina, I understand, Thy words, like a bowstring, tightly band. Though my heart may mourn and cry, I shall respect thy wish, and not defy.
ALAINA: (gently) Thank thee, Gaby, for thy grace, In my heart, find a peaceful place. But now, ‘tis time for us to part, As dawn breaks, may healing start.
GABY nods solemnly, accepting ALAINA's decision. He turns and exits the stable, leaving ALAINA alone with her thoughts and her horse. The scene fades as the night continues to envelop them.
Act 1, Scene 8
The sun rises over the estate, casting a soft glow across the grounds. GABY walks alone along a peaceful path, deep in thought. He passes by the garden where SUZANNA is tending to the flowers.
SUZANNA: (concerned) Gaby, dear friend, how fares thy heart? Last night’s encounter, did it tear apart?
GABY: (sadly) Suzanna, my heart weighs heavy and sore, For Alaina’s love, I shall seek no more. Her words, though kind, were clear and fair, In her heart, I cannot compare.
SUZANNA: (gently) Gaby, dear Gaby, thou art noble and true, In love’s pursuit, few can outdo. But sometimes, love’s path takes a turn, To lessons learned, and hearts to discern.
GABY: (nodding thoughtfully) Indeed, Suzanna, though love’s flame dims, Life’s journey still holds many whims. I shall cherish the moments we shared, With Alaina’s friendship, no love spared.
SUZANNA: (softly) Gaby, perhaps ‘tis time to look anew, For a heart that matches thine so true. Someone who sees thy grace and charm, In whom thy love can find its warm.
GABY: (considering) You're right, Suzanna. Will you help me find a woman, To share my songs and brighten the gloomin’?
SUZANNA: (slightly sad yet hopeful) Sure, Gaby, I’d be glad to lend a hand, In finding love’s bloom across the land.
They walk together in silence, finding comfort in each other’s company. GABY’s spirits lift slightly, and SUZANNA, though conflicted by her own feelings for GABY, remains supportive and determined to help him move forward.
GABY: (softly) Thank you, Suzanna, for your gentle grace, In friendship’s embrace, I find my place.
SUZANNA: (affectionately) Come, dear Gaby, let’s walk this path anew, With laughter and joy, in all we pursue.
They stroll along the path, leaving behind the heartache of the night before, embracing the promise of a new day and uncertain future.
Act 1, Scene 9
In the bustling courtyard of the estate, GABY stands deep in thought, when SIR CHRISTIAN approaches with a mischievous grin. Behind him, a line of women of various backgrounds and appearances wait nervously.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (cheerfully) Gaby, my good friend, fear not the fray, For I've brought potential matches your way! Behold, a parade of beauties and charm, Surely among them, one can disarm.
GABY: (curiously) Sir Christian, you jest with such flair, But can true love be found in this affair?
SIR CHRISTIAN: (raising an eyebrow) Why, of course, my dear fellow, I assure, Among these ladies, one’s heart will allure.
Sir Christian gestures towards the line of women. GABY scans them, his eyes settling on a woman who smiles warmly but seems lost in thought.
GABY: (intrigued) Pray tell, Sir Christian, who is she there? With eyes so bright, and a vacant stare.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (chuckling) Ah, that lass, a beauty so rare, But alas, her wits are quite threadbare.
GABY: (amused) Her mind may wander like the wind, But her heart, I see, is kind and kind.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (nudging GABY) Take heed, my friend, and make no haste, For love's allure can be a delicate taste.
GABY approaches the woman with a smile, introducing himself. She responds warmly, her words simple yet sincere.
WOMAN: (cheerfully) Hello there, I'm Mary, pleased to meet, In this fine day, love's grace is sweet.
GABY: (gently) Mary, 'tis a pleasure, I declare, In your company, joy’s in the air.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (to himself, aside) Ah, love’s journey, with twists and turns, In Mary’s heart, Gaby’s interest burns.
As they converse, GABY finds himself charmed by Mary’s genuine kindness, despite her lack of intellectual depth. Meanwhile, Sir Christian watches with amusement, knowing he may have sparked a surprising connection.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (smiling) Love’s seed, in unlikely ground, May bloom in ways yet to be found.
The scene fades as GABY and Mary continue their conversation.
Act 1, Scene 10
The estate's gardens are bathed in the soft glow of twilight. GABY and MARY sit at a quaint table, enjoying a romantic dinner under a canopy of stars. They laugh and share stories, finding a surprising connection despite their differences.
GABY: (smiling) Mary, thou art a joyous delight, In thy presence, the world seems bright.
MARY: (giggling) Oh, Gaby, kind and full of cheer, With thee, love’s path seems near.
As their conversation continues, SUZANNA watches from a distance, conflicted by her feelings for GABY. Unbeknownst to them, she slips a note into MARY's pocket with a mischievous smile.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (to SUZANNA, teasingly) Suzanna, dear heart, what dost thou plot? In love’s game, meddle thou shalt not.
SUZANNA: (guiltily) Christian, ‘tis true, my heart doth ache, But Gaby’s happiness, I must forsake.
Back at the table, MARY feels the note in her pocket and reads it quietly. Her expression changes, and a cloud of confusion settles over her face.
MARY: (nervously) Gaby, dear Gaby, what does this mean? In my pocket, a note, unseen.
GABY: (concerned) Let me see, Mary, what hath been penned, Perhaps ‘tis a jest, to quickly amend.
GABY reads the note, his brow furrowing in disbelief. It states: “Gaby loves another woman.” He looks up at MARY, who waits anxiously for his response.
GABY: (softly) Mary, ‘tis a mistake, I assure, In love’s confusion, falsehoods obscure.
MARY: (tearfully) Gaby, kind and fair, my heart betrays, To believe in love, amidst these frays.
With a heavy heart, MARY rises from the table, unable to continue the evening. GABY reaches out to stop her, but she gently pulls away, disappearing into the garden.
GABY: (helplessly) Mary, wait, let me explain, In this confusion, love’s refrain.
SUZANNA watches from afar, regretting her impulsive action. SIR CHRISTIAN approaches her, offering a comforting embrace.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (softly) Suzanna, dear friend, in love’s sway, Regrettable choices, night and day.
SUZANNA: (tearfully) Christian, my heart aches so, In love’s turmoil, I must let go.
The scene fades as GABY stands alone in the garden.
Act 1, Scene 11
In the dimming twilight, GABY walks alone through the garden, his expression clouded with sadness and confusion. SUZANNA notices him from a distance and approaches cautiously.
SUZANNA: (softly) Gaby, dear friend, what troubles thy mind? In sorrow’s grasp, what solace to find?
GABY: (sighing heavily) Suzanna, my heart feels heavy and fraught, A note of deception, mischief it brought.
SUZANNA: (concerned) A note, thou sayest? What does it tell? In shadows of doubt, whose hand did compel?
GABY: (helplessly) Mary found it, in her pocket it lay, Words of betrayal, love led astray.
SUZANNA: (gently) Oh, Gaby, dear Gaby, who could contrive? In love’s tangled web, to deceive and connive?
GABY: (pained) I know not, Suzanna, who penned this lie, In the garden of trust, deceit did fly.
SUZANNA: (sympathetically) Come, Gaby, let us seek truth's embrace, In friendship’s bond, let sorrow efface.
They walk together through the garden, GABY lost in his thoughts while SUZANNA struggles with her guilt. She longs to confess her role but fears the consequences of her impulsive action.
SUZANNA: (inner turmoil) Oh, Gaby, if only thou couldst see, The folly of my heart's decree.
GABY: (lost in contemplation) Mary’s trust, now shattered and torn, In love’s cruel game, we are but worn.
As they continue their walk, GABY’s sadness deepens, uncertain of whom to trust amidst the shadows of doubt.
GABY: (resolutely) Suzanna, dear friend, I must find the truth, In this web of deceit, reclaim my youth.
The scene ends As they continue their walk.
Act 1, Scene 12
GABY walks away, his heart heavy with confusion and hurt. He disappears into the shadows of the garden, leaving SUZANNA standing alone with her thoughts. SIR CHRISTIAN, observing the situation, approaches SUZANNA with a knowing look.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (seriously) Suzanna, my dear friend, the time draws nigh, To confess thy deed, not let truth belie.
SUZANNA: (guiltily) Christian, oh Christian, what have I done? In folly’s grasp, a game we shun.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (earnestly) Gaby walks in shadows, his heart to mend, But in thy silence, wounds may not amend.
SUZANNA: (tearfully) I fear his wrath, his trust I betray, In love’s tangled web, I’ve led astray.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (softly) Suzanna, dear Suzanna, honesty's light, Shall guide thee through this sorrowful night.
SUZANNA wrestles with her emotions, torn between her desire to protect GABY’s feelings and the need to confess her mistake. SIR CHRISTIAN’s words weigh heavily on her, urging her towards a path of truth.
SUZANNA: (resolutely) Christian, my friend, I shall heed thy call, Confess my folly, though shadows fall.
SIR CHRISTIAN: (supportively) Come, Suzanna, let us find our friend, In love’s embrace, may hearts amend.
They walk together through the garden, determined to find GABY.

SUZANNA: (reading aloud, voice breaking) “If you are reading this, I have become too sad to go on with this horrible life, and I am now gone.” (tearfully) Gaby...
SIR CHRISTIAN: (somberly) Oh, dear Suzanna, what grief we face, In love’s cruel shadow, a bitter place.
The scene transitions to the somber event of GABY’s funeral. Friends and family gather in the estate’s chapel, their faces etched with sorrow. SUZANNA and SIR CHRISTIAN stand at the forefront, grappling with their emotions.

As the ceremony continues, the mourners share memories of GABY, celebrating his life with bittersweet recollections. The atmosphere, though heavy with grief, is also filled with moments of levity and fond remembrance.
LORD ALAN: (speaking) Gaby, our friend, with music so sweet, His laughter and joy, none could defeat.
AIDEN: (nodding) In life’s grand play, he had his part, With a musician’s soul, and a lover’s heart.
The funeral concludes with a musical tribute, a fitting farewell to a musician whose life was intertwined with melody. As the final notes fade, the gathering disperses, leaving SUZANNA alone by GABY’s grave.
SUZANNA: (tearfully, speaking to Gaby’s grave) Oh, Gaby, forgive me for my heart's misdeed, 'Twas I who wrote the note that led thee to bleed. In jealousy’s grip, my actions were wrong, And now I stand here, where you no longer belong.
SUZANNA: (sobbing) I thought to protect, but only brought pain, In love’s cruel shadow, only sorrow remains. If I could turn back, thy heart to mend, To change my actions, our story amend.
SUZANNA kneels by the grave, her tears falling freely as she confesses her guilt and sorrow. She clutches the note, a symbol of her mistake, and places it on the grave as a gesture of atonement.

SUZANNA: (shocked) Gaby! How art thou here? How art thou alive?
GABY: (softly) I could not do it, Suzanna. I wandered the night, lost in sorrow, but found strength in the love and memories we shared.
SUZANNA: (tears of joy) Oh, Gaby, my heart rejoices! I feared I had lost thee forever.
She rushes to embrace him, her heart overflowing with relief and happiness. They stand together, holding each other tightly, the weight of past sorrows lifting from their shoulders.
